About us
KG To Liters is a free set of 60 kg to liters converters for food, fuel, chemicals, dry goods and gases, built for kitchens, workshops, labs and fuel yards.
Why KG To Liters exists
KG To Liters exists to answer one question in one step: how many liters is this many kilograms? A 15 kg oil tin, a 14.2 kg LPG cylinder, a 1,000 kg diesel delivery and a 25 kg sack of rice all sell by weight. The fryers, tanks, bottles and bins that hold them are sized in liters. The site turns the weight on the label into the volume you need to plan with.
What the 60 converters cover
KG To Liters has 60 free converters in 6 groups, using more than 150 reference densities.
- Food and drink (18 converters): water, milk, honey, ghee, cooking oil, juice, syrup, ice cream and yogurt.
- Fuels and gases (7 converters): diesel, petrol, jet fuel, aviation fuel, LPG, propane and fuel.
- Industrial and household (18 converters): engine oil, hydraulic oil, paint, resin, solvents, chemicals, HCl and liquid nitrogen.
- Dry goods (8 converters): rice, beras, flour, powders, sand, soil, cat litter and dog food.
- Country converters (2): India and the UK, with local products, containers and currencies.
- Specialist calculators (7): specific gravity, density, kg/hr to L/hr flow, kg/L to g/mL, mg/kg to mg/L, gas and air.
Who uses KG To Liters
6 groups of people use KG To Liters every day.
- Home cooks and bakers turn grams of flour, honey and oil into cups and milliliters.
- Restaurant and food factory buyers compare oil, ghee and syrup prices per kg and per liter.
- Fuel suppliers, fleet managers and pilots match delivery tickets in kilograms with tank readings in liters.
- Mechanics and maintenance teams size oil changes, grease cartridges and hydraulic reservoirs.
- Lab staff and students convert reagents with density, specific gravity and the ideal gas law.
- Builders, gardeners and pet owners plan sand, soil, cat litter and dog food by the bag and the bucket.
How the converters work
Every converter divides the weight in kilograms (kg) by the density in kilograms per liter (kg/L). Fuel and oil converters correct the density for temperature. Dry goods use bulk density, which counts the air between grains. Gas calculators use the ideal gas law with pressure and temperature. Each page shows the formula, a conversion table and the density it uses, so you can check every result by hand.
Languages
The KG To Liters homepage works in 18 languages, including English, Hindi, Spanish, Arabic, Japanese and Indonesian. Calculator pages are in English.
Limits of the results
KG To Liters gives estimates from typical densities. Real products change with grade, temperature, moisture and packing. Use the product data sheet or weigh 1 L of the product, if the job needs an exact figure. The site does not certify fuel loads, lab results, product labels or safety decisions.
Corrections
Send a correction with the page URL, your inputs, the result you expected and a source for the density. We check every report and update the page when the source holds up. The site has no professional accreditation or third-party certification.
